Yoga DVD Review: Core Strength Vinyasa
Sadie Nardini Inspires with a No-Nonsense Approach Rating:

Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga Power Hour with Sadie Nardini is the best yoga DVD for
yogis desiring to take their practice from beginner to the next level. Length is 60 minutes long: 40 minutes of floor-flow and a 20 minute wall-flow.
The video was filmed in what presumably is Sadie’s New York yoga studio. While some reviewers think the locale is too spare and uninteresting, I find it a refreshing change from the outdoors or wind-blown background curtains typical in yoga DVDs. To me, the setting reflects Sadie’s approach: to-the-point and streamlined.
Beware: This no-nonsense approach does not leave a lot of room for spirituality. So if this is a non-negotiable aspect for you, you should probably pass on this one.
But if you want a fast-moving, comprehensible yoga guide that delivers big, physical benefits, Core Strength is an absolute must.
Tip: before you do this practice, it is advisable to first watch it all-the-way through. Sadie moves rather quickly through the vinyasa sequences so it helps to be familiar with them. After a few practices, you’ll anticipate the moves so it becomes easier.
(Author admission: I often stop after the 40 minute session and do the wall-flow only when I’m feeling exceptionally good and have time. But even after the 40 minute session, I’m drenched in sweat. Many of the exercises target the abs so I’m noticing significant core strength and muscle definition.)
